I take late work very seriously. Most students that fail physics (and many other high school courses) fail due to not completing their work, or waiting until the last week before grades are due (I do not accept late work the last week of each six weeks). Many parents/guardians are unaware of any situation with students not turning work in on time until it becomes too late. With this in mind, a student cannot turn items in late without a parent/guardian signing off on this form. It is the student’s responsibility to obtain this, fill it out, have a parent/guardian review and sign it, then submit it to Mr. Miller. The point to this is so that we may be help students be more proactive managers of their time and life. Please be aware that in order to receive credit, everything must be filled out and be accurate on this form.

3rd Six Weeks Make-Up and Late Work Assignments
If your assignment does not already have a GradeCam form on it, you must staple one to it with your ID bubbled in on it. You must also state what you are making up. If this is not done, the assignment will not be graded.

Remember Tutoring is on Monday and Wednesday during B Lunch.
Late work due to absence will follow district guidelines (1 Extra day for each day missed, if something was due the day you missed, it is due when you come back). All other late work that has not been graded or handed back may be turned in up to three days late for a reduction in grade. If the assignment has been handed back or it is beyond the three days past due, you may
request an alternative assignment to make up the assignment for a 50% reduction within one week of the original assignment being handed in (this is at the discretion of the instructor to approve or reject the request). The request form can be downloaded from this website. Be aware that you will need to have a parents signature along with an explanation for missing the assignment before being reviewed for approval. You must also write at the tope of the assignment what it is replacing. All homework is due at the beginning of class unless otherwise said.
Reduction to grade for late work:
Day 1 30% reduction.
Day 2 40% reduction.
Day 3 50% reduction.
